They can be 25x25 or 50x50. But make sure all of them are the same resolution. They DO NOT have to be animated, but I would enjoy it.

 easy way to pixel things - sketch on a canvas that can be resized evenly to 50x50 (like.. 350x350, 200x200, whatever.) then resize it down and work from there! :] thats how I do my icons ( http://eiriryu.deviantart.com/gallery/#Pixel-Art )

I'm at the library atm and these mice aren't very good. I should be doing research for English but...this is much more enjoyable.
